A few years ago in 2012, Giving Tuesday was started by the 92nd Street Y and the United Nations Foundation. The goal of Giving Tuesday is to reduce the amount of “buying” and consumerism, and increase the amount of “giving back” to those in need. Giving Tuesday was created to celebrate donors’ generosity and has had rapid growth since its commencement 4 years ago.

These Dyer Dhow boats were designed by The Anchorage, Inc located in Warren, RI. The boats are named after the founder of the company, Bill Dyer, who started building boats in 1930.
